Amidst the scorching sun and sweltering heat waves. The peak season for summer tourism has arrived as scheduled, making the period the busiest time of the year for frontline tour guides at Xi’an International Travel Service. To implement the company’s corporate philosophy of “people first, service oriented” and earnestly care for the tour guide colleagues who are struggling in the front line of high temperature, the Tour Guide Management Center went to the Terra Cotta Warriors Scenic Area on August 11to launch a “cool summer” condolence activity. On behalf of the company, it extended care and respect to the front line tour guides who remain committed to their positions.

Upon arrival, members of the condolence group immediately distributed chilled mineral water, fresh watermelon, and other cooling refreshments to the on-site tour guide, and handed-out “heatstroke prevention and cooling care packages” one by one. These care packages were thoughtfully equipped with practical items such as Huoxiang Zhengqi water(a traditional Chinese herb drink for heatstroke prevention) and chrysanthemum tea. The team also engaged in friendly communication with the tour guides , gaining a detailed understanding of recent group reception volumes, the intensity of explanations, dining and rest arrangements, and transportation support. They warmly reminded the guides to take self-protection measures during high-temperature work, scientifically adjust the pace of their itinerary, and ensure a smooth progress of travel itineraries.

The tour guides who led the group on that day stated, “Receiving tour groups in the sweltering summer is indeed challenging, but this condolence activity has made us truly feel the company’s care. This is like a refreshing shade the company has provided for us amid the scorching summer. We will devote ourselves to the duty with greater enthusiasm, deliver high-quality interpretation and service, complete tasks with quality and quantity, and not disappoint the company’s expectations.

Witnessing the tour guide of China International Travel Service (CITS) provide interpretations for us in the scorching heat, and receiving chilled mineral water from CITS, I instantly felt that the summer in Xi’an had become cool too! I give a thumbs up to CITS’s thoughtfulness and professionalism! “- Ms. C É CILE OLIVIERI, a tourist from Spain, praised.

This “Sending Coolness” condolence activity is not only a delivery of physical support and care from the company, but also an expression of gratitude to  employees for their effort and dedication on the front line. Looking ahead, the company will continue to refine its care mechanism for frontline employees, further enhance team cohesion and combat effectiveness, and support the safe, orderly, and high-quality operation of summer peak season receptions.
