In the golden autumn, the garden is filled with fruits, and the fragrance of dates welcomes the double festivals! On September 29th, the festive atmosphere of National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival permeated the land of Dali. The “Discovering Dali Landmark and Nostalgia Tour – 2025 National Day Travel Agency Golden Autumn Dali Tour and Winter Date Carnival Cultural Tourism Activity” was grandly inaugurated at the Winter Date Town Scenic Area in Dali County. Xi’an International Travel Service was invited to gather with representatives from more than 30 well-known travel agencies and over 200 tourists from Xi’an, immersing themselves in the pastoral poetry, intangible cultural heritage charm, and sweetness of winter dates in Dali.

Immersive experience: A small train journey through a jujube orchard, where intangible cultural heritage delicacies are all captivating

With “scenario-based interaction” as the core, the event site has created multiple distinctive experience sections, leaving visitors exclaiming “it’s so exciting”. The moment you board the vintage sightseeing train, you enter the “Jujube Garden Roaming” mode – a vast winter jujube orchard spreads out before your eyes, with jujubes hanging from the verdant branches and leaves. The breeze carries the sweet aroma of jujubes, and the fields, farmhouses, and the ambiance of the jujube village intertwine along the way, like a flowing rural painting.

After getting off the bus, the picking experience area became a “popular check-in spot”. Everyone picked the plump winter dates off the branches with their own hands. When they bit into them, they were crisp and juicy, with sweet juice, truly experiencing the freshness “from the branch to the tip of the tongue”. Then, they visited each special exhibition area in turn.

In the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Renewal” exhibition area of the County Cultural and Tourism Bureau, traditional crafts such as Dali Paper Cuttings and Tongchao Shadow Puppetry, combined with modern creativity, have given rise to cultural and creative products. In the “Dali Gives Gifts” exhibition and sales area of the County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, agricultural products labeled “1110086” and deep-processed winter jujube series products are showcased, ranging from dried winter jujubes to jujube honey, fully demonstrating the fruitful achievements of Dali’s agriculture. At the food stalls of the County Commerce Bureau, the aroma of local snacks such as stove-cooked noodles and braised meat sandwiches fills the air, and every bite is filled with local flavor.

In-depth Collaboration: Signing Agreements + Holding Discussions, Jointly Exploring New Paths for “Attracting Tourists to Dali”

At the cultural and tourism promotion event, Dali County unveiled a National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival themed tourism route, encompassing jujube orchard picking, folk custom experiences, intangible cultural heritage appreciation, and gourmet exploration, tailoring a “deep tour of the jujube hometown” package for tourists. Guo Zhe, the supervisor of the sales management center of Xi’an International Travel Service, signed a “bringing tourists to Dali” strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of Xi’an International Travel Service with local cultural and tourism enterprises in Dali. “We hope to bring the ‘sweetness’ of Dali to more tourists through resource sharing and contribute to rural revitalization.”.

In the afternoon of the same day, at the symposium, Xi’an International Travel Service and Dali Cultural Tourism Enterprises engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as “route optimization”, “customer source attraction”, and “product upgrading”, jointly exploring new paths for the integrated development of “cultural tourism + various industries”.

The visit to the Dali Winter Jujube Carnival marks a significant step in the development of Xi’an International Travel Service’s integrated agricultural and cultural tourism routes. Moving forward, we will continue to collaborate with the Dali cultural and tourism authorities to refine our tourism offerings, inviting visitors to embark on a journey to Dali during this golden autumn season, where they can immerse themselves in the fragrance of jujubes and embrace the nostalgia of their hometown, harvesting sweetness and poetry amidst the fields!
