On September 21st, the exclusive group tour to Yunqiu Mountain organized by CITS Xi’an came to a successful end! Throughout this two-day and one-night journey, adhering to the service mission of “Integrity as the Foundation, Sincerity as the Principle, Harmony as the Priority, and Kindness as the Way of Being”, we explored the thousand-year-old ancient village and visited the ten-thousand-year-old ice caves together with the tourists. The beauty of nature and the warmth of human interaction intertwined, creating an unforgettable autumn memory for everyone.

01 Awe and Amazement Amidst Natural Wonders

“As soon as I stepped into the ice cave, I felt a chill. It’s truly worthwhile to see such spectacular ice pillars in autumn!” This was the shared feeling among tourists when they first laid eyes on the natural ice cave cluster. Under the guidance of the tour guide, everyone walked down the stone steps into the cave. The jagged ice edges glistened under the light, and the coolness from the ice—formed by dripping water freezing—created a wonderful contrast with the warm autumn sun outside the cave. The sound of camera shutters kept clicking, capturing this natural miracle that has taken over 100 million years to form.

When reaching the top of Yuhuangding (Jade Emperor Peak), the area was shrouded in clouds and mist. The mountain, which resembles a human figure, loomed faintly in the sea of clouds. The tour guide promptly shared the legend of “a renowned scenic spot in the River Fen Basin”, helped elderly tourists steady themselves on the stone steps, and found ideal photography spots for photography enthusiasts. One tourist smiled and said, “The tour guides of CITS Xi’an not only know the scenery well, but also understand our desire to take great photos!”

02 Folk Customs and Laughter: The Vitality of the Ancient Village

In Tars Po Ancient Village, which boasts a history of 2,500 years, lies a vivid picture of folk customs. At 11:00 AM, the “Wedding Ceremony” performance began. Visitors gathered around to watch the ancient wedding scenes accompanied by the sound of suona horns(a traditional Chinese instrument), while children chased after the embroidered balls. During the interactive “Drum and Gong Yangko Dance” activity in the afternoon, the tour guide led the way as everyone joins the festive procession. The circle formed by holding hands is filled with laughter and joy.

When night fell, the bonfire party lit up the sky. Beside the roaring flames, guides and tourists sang and danced around the bonfire. The shadows of the puppet showed flicker on the stone walls, while the clinking sounds of blacksmithing blend with laughter. In this moment, the distance between strangers completely dissolved.

03 Visitor Voices: Bringing “Peace of Mind” and “Joy” Home

A young traveler shared on social media: “From the spring water of Shenxian Valley to the sea of clouds at Yuhuangding Peak, from the Yangko dance in Tars Po Village to the songs around the bonfire, CTS Xi’an arranged the itinerary to the fullest without ever feeling rushed. This is what travel should be like!”
