Leveraging the advantages of the China-Uzbekistan mutual visa exemption policy and the direct flight route from Xi’an to Uzbekistan, on April 12, 2026, Xi’an CITS successfully completed the organization and reception of an inbound tour group to Uzbekistan. The ten guests successfully concluded their five-day cultural journey to the ancient capital of Xi’an, and embarked on their return journey filled with joy and emotion.
For the five-day journey, Xi’an CITS has fully considered the travel habits, cultural beliefs, and leisure needs of tourists from Uzbekistan. It carefully connects world-class historical and cultural attractions such as the Terra Cotta Warriors, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Tang Dynasty Furong Garden, while also incorporating check-in spots with strong local cultural and religious characteristics such as Hui Street and the Mosque in Huajue Alley, allowing tourists to fully experience the historical heritage and urban warmth of the starting point of the Silk Road.
In consideration of the dietary habits of Uzbekistan tourists, Xi’an CITS specially arranged for them to enjoy some distinctive delicacies with a strong northwest flavor, such as Jia San’s soup dumplings in Hui Street. Upon learning that Uzbekistan tourists were interested in Chinese small commodities, the tour guide proactively adjusted the itinerary and arranged for them to visit the Xiaokang Road Small Commodities Market. The inexpensive and wide variety of goods made the group members reluctant to part with them, and many of them returned with their hands full.
During the journey, many details were deeply moving. On the way from the airport to the hotel, the guests marveled at the convenience of China’s highways. The tour guide took the opportunity to introduce the situation of China’s assistance in building highways in Uzbekistan. While being moved, the guests expressed their belief that their own country would also have similarly smooth and wide highways in the near future. At the Big Wild Goose Pagoda scenic area, the guests prayed devoutly. Different religious cultures met here, fully demonstrating inclusiveness and warmth. Despite the language barrier, with the assistance of the tour guide, warm exchanges with street vendors and passersby made the guests truly feel warmth and kindness.
Han Junfeng, General Manager of Xi’an CITS Silk Road Tourism Center, stated that the successful completion of the inbound tour mission was inseparable from the dedicated efforts of every employee, and it had accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent deepening of the Central Asian market. In the future, Xi’an CITS will continue to launch a series of inbound tourism products to Uzbekistan, constantly optimize service details, enrich itinerary content, and deepen exchanges and cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the fields of culture and tourism, allowing more Uzbek tourists to enter China, understand China, and fall in love with China.
